Synopsis: Roxy, a guitar-playing hedgehog, and Ronald, a fact-loving pig, are best friends on a musical walking adventure to discover WOWS in the world and experience AWE on this beautiful planet they call home. They’ve dubbed their epic journey a Wowsabout - a quest for fun, wonder, and connection. The series kicked off with an exciting special on PBS Kids when Roxy and Ronald meet at Sequoia National Park for their very first Wowsabout adventure.

When Wowsabout! premiered on May 1, 2026, families everywhere hopped right into the camper van with Roxy and Ronald! Airing on linear PBS KIDS television, streaming across PBS KIDS' free platforms, celebrated at station events nationwide, and lighting up YouTube, the special racked up 10 million streams in its first month (now past 13 million), earned more than three times the YouTube views of recent PBS KIDS specials, and reached 858,000 households and 263,000 kids ages 2-8 on television. Kids stayed for the whole ride, with 83% of streams going to the full special, the highest share of any recent PBS KIDS special.

Wowsabout! will be the first preschool series to showcase the emotion of awe. Research shows that awe transforms us, making us feel part of something bigger and motivating connection, conversation, and caring-action. Roxy and Ronald will experience the 8 WONDERS OF AWE, as categorized by Dacher Keltner, and the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center: Transcendence, Big Ideas, Nature, The Life Cycle, Moral Beauty, Visual Design, Collective Effervescence, and Music. The series blends humor with stunning cinematography to highlight awe-filled experiences. Roxy, Ronald, and kids will inspire and dream up Wowsabouts together!
